SSL Certificates

Last Updated: 07/17/2013

Overview

OIT has partnered with UC-Denver to negotiate a universitywide contract with Comodo for SSL and code signing certificates. Requests for certifcates are made through an online form.

The CU-Boulder IdentiKey that is used to login will be identified as the technical contact for the certificate. All updates and renewal notifications from the IT Security Office will be directed towards this contact.

Features

  • Access the form from on-campus (through VPN or on campus IPs, including wireless) to request a Comodo SSL certificate.
  • The form will create a Supportworks case and an IT Security Office RT case so we can automate the server vetting and scanning process.

Benefits

  • Meets CU-Boulder security standards.
  • You will receive renewal and update notifications.
  • Online request form streamlines the process.

Cost

  • The SSL certificates service, including this web request form, is provided as a common-good to the campus which means there is not direct cost to you or your department.

Who can get it

  • This service is available to anyone with a CU-Boulder IdentiKey.
  • If you have questions about SSL Certificates, please contact the IT Service Center.
