Desire2Learn allows for instructors to create extra credit assignments within the learning environment in the form of bonus items. A bonus item is a separate grade item which students can elect to complete. Points earned on a bonus item can only improve a student's grade. Although the process is very similar to creating a regular grade item, there are some things that need to be done differently in order to create a bonus assignment.
