Overview

This technology automatically captures, stores and indexes classroom-related audio and video from faculty lectures or special events. Captured recordings are made available online for on-demand viewing by students or other interested parties through the end of the semester.

Instructors can schedule the automatic capture of classroom-related audio and video from faculty lectures or special events. Captured recordings are made available online for for on-demand viewing by students or other interested parties through the end of the semester. Upon completion of finals, recordings are taken offline and archived.

OIT has partnered with vendor Sonic Foundry and is using their Mediasite solution to deliver the service.

The classrooms listed below have this technology available today. If you are teaching in one of these facilities, complete the request form. A representative from the Classroom Capture and Video Conferencing team will follow up with you to further discuss your requirements and provide additional information.

*Note: Students cannot request Classroom Capture.
