Check the battery indicator. Make sure the microphone light is green and not amber. If you still can’t hear yourself over the loudspeakers, call the IT Service Center. If you hear yourself through the loud speakers, you are being recorded. Reference the quick start guide image below for instructions on how to power on and mute the microphones (Please note: there is also a microphone quick start guide in the classroom).
If you experience difficulty, call the IT Service Center at 303-735-4357 (5-HELP from an on-campus phone) and report the problem so we can correct it as soon as possible.
Typically, the lecture capture system in the classroom only records the instructor via the microphone. It is a best practice to repeat student questions. However, the classrooms are equipped with a wireless handheld microphone that can be used to record student questions.
