How to remove old Pharos Popup software

1. From the Go drop-down menu, select Computer.
2. Double click the your hard drive icon.
3. Open the Library folder.
4. Open the Application Support folder.
5. Open the Pharos folder.
6. Open the Utilities folder, then double click Uninstaller.
7. Check the box labeled Pharos Popup, then click Continue.
8. Click Continue for the Component Summary step.
9. Enter your credentials, if neccessary, then click OK.
10. Click Done.

Install the new Pharos Popup software

1. Open your downloaded Macintosh printer installer package.
2. Double click the Mac Pharos 8.3 Installers.dmg file.
3. A new window will appear. Double click the Pharos Popup 8.3.2.dmg file.
4. Double click Popop.pkg.
5. The package installer will appear. Click Continue.
6. Read through the Important Information text, then click Continue.
7. Click Install.
8. Enter your credentials, then click Install Software.
9. Once your installation finishes, you click Close.

How to install as SPS printer

1. Install the Pharos Popup software, explained above.
2. Open System Preferences, then click Print & Scan.
3. Click the + button, then select Add Other Printer or Scanner from the drop-down menu.
4. Right click the toolbar, then select Customize Toolbar...
5. Drag the Advanced icon to the toolbar, then click Done.
   • Note: This step is required only once.
6. Click Advanced.
7. Click on the Type drop down menu and select Pharos Print Server.
8. In the URL text box add the printer information, consisting of the Server IP number, and the appropriate Queue Name. This information is available in MAC SPS Printer install info.xlsx spreadsheet, in the printer installer package, as well as in the table below.
   • Example: A BW Square printer URL is: popup://128.138.72.198/BWSquareBuffOne-CCC_Q
9. Enter the Queue Name in the printer Name: text field.
10. From the Use: drop-down menu choose Select Printer Software...
11. In the Filter search box type in Xerox, then the printer Model name.
    • Example: BW Square printer is: Xerox Phaser 5550DN
12. Select your desired printer form the list, then click OK.
13. This printer will now be available from your printer list.
    • This driver will work for all printers of the same type. You will need to repeat this process only when you wish to install a different printer type.
