OIT recommends the use of Sophos software for university-purchased Macintosh computers.
*Note: If your computer is managed by Dedicated Desktop Support, your technician will install System Endpoint Protection for Mac on your machine, therefore downloading Sophos is not recommended.

|Installation and Configuration||Before installing Sophos, other antivirus software must be uninstalled. To install Sophos, please refer to the documentation below.|
Before downloading and installing Sophos, you must first uninstall other antivirus software you may have on your Macintosh. Here are instructions for uninstalling former university-recommended antivirus software:
*Note: Updates to the CU-Boulder provided Sophos software require an on campus connection to install. Off campus users can connect to the campus network by using the campus VPN service.
