Last Updated: 10/19/2012
Overview

CU-Boulder offers a couple of different solutions for using an application to use in order to have a secure on-campus network connection when you are away from campus. These applications are available for all CU-Boulder affiliates with an IdentiKey. Refer to the information below in order to select the best solution for your needs.

Service Features
Network Connect An application that you can install and use to have a secure on-campus network connection when you are away from campus or on UCB Wireless. Use this application to access on-campus resources and still have access to your home networked devices.
Cisco VPN An application that you can install and use to have a long and secure on-campus network connection when you are away from campus or on UCB Wireless. It routes all traffic through the campus network. With the Cisco VPN you should be able to access all library resources, campus file servers to which you have access permissions, SSH, remote desktop, CIFS, and NFS. Cisco VPN does not allow for split tunneling, and home networked devices cannot be accessed while using this type of connection.
