Exchange Online is Microsoft's cloud-based email and calendaring application included with the Office 365 suite, made available for faculty, staff, and student employees starting spring 2015.
The Exchange Online service offers a web based email and calendaring client through the university's Office 365 subscription. This web based email client is known as Outlook Web App. If you have previous experience using Outlook, the new version will be familiar. For users newer to Outlook, we recommend visiting Microsoft's Getting Started guide for basic instructions.
OIT has compiled a list of tutorials geared specifically for campus users. Visit the Outlook Web App page for the full list of email and calendar tutorials.
General configuration settings:
*Note: If using software that does not support Exchange (e.g. Thunderbird) and connects using IMAP, you will need to enter smtp.colorado.com as the outgoing server address and 587 as the IMAP port number.

Faculty and Staff are encouraged to use campus email delivery in order to comply with CU's Record Retention Policy. If you are concerned that this will interfere with your academic or research pursuits, you may request an exemption to utilize a different delivery location.
