Managed Services - Virtual Server Services

Overview 

Running a server requires having the funds to purchase the server, ensuring renewal and replacement funds are saved for, having the appropriate support infrastracture, providing physical security as well as power and cooling, performing regular hardware upgrades and maintenance, and downtime and troubleshooting if a server component fails.

Managed Services can provide a virtual server for you where you may choose the operating system you want and not have to worry about purchasing a physical server or finding a place for it to live.

Features 
  • Includes maintenance of the physical hardware so you do not need to worry about renewal or replacement costs, hardware failures, etc.
  • Your server is located in a secure data center, monitored 24/7
  • Windows Server 2003 (32 and 64-bit), Windows 2008 (32 and 64-bit), and RedHat 5 (32 and 64-bit) are all supported
  • 50GB storage is standard with nightly backups included
  • Full fault-tolerance is an available option, meaning should a hardware failure occure, your server never misses a beat and users don't experience downtime.
Cost 

There are three options of virtual servers available:

  1. Platinum (FT-HA): For servers which can not afford any downtime, this Fault-Tolerant High Available option aims for 99.9% uptime. It is a fully redundant environment meaning if hardware fails, it should not affect your server or the services it provides to your customers.
  2. Gold (HA): For servers that can not afford any extended downtime, this High Available option aims for 99% uptime. It is a fully redundant environment meaning if hardware fails, your server will be up and running after a quick reboot.
  3. Bronze (non-HA): For servers that do not have stringent uptime requirements, such as services used primarily during business hours or those that can afford several hours of downtime in the event of a hardware failure. NOTE: Bronze level servers have a service maintenance window of Thursdays 6pm-7pm.
