And confirming your Digital ID Card.

I created a free account at Qualtrics.com. How can I combine my existing non-CU account to my CU Qualtrics Account?

In order to combine your account at Qualtrics.com with your CU Account, you need to have activated your CU Qualtrics account by going to: http://qualtrics.colorado.edu and logging in using your IdentiKey and password.

Once you have activated your account, contact the IT Service Center via email at help@colorado.edu or by phone at 303-735-HELP (4357) to request that your account at Qualtrics.com and your CU Qualtrics account be merged. Which web browsers does Qualtrics support?

Qualtrics recommends you use the latest version of your browser of choice. The web browsers officially supported by Qualtrics are Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Apple Safari, and Internet Explorer.

Older versions of these browsers may still work, but are not recommended, as they are not as well suited for the latest web technologies. The oldest supported versions of the above web browsers are IE7+, Firefox 4+, Safari 3+, and Chrome 2+.

Qualtrics continues to support the survey taking experience in Internet Explorer 6 (IE6), though not the Control Panel (the tool to create the survey, as well as reporting, etc.)

OIT does not support all browser versions. If you are not on an OIT supported Browser OIT recommends you update your browser to a supported browser.  To learn more go to http://www.colorado.edu/oit/recommendations.

Do I need to consider IRB when using Qualtrics?

All research conducted by faculty, staff, or students involving human subjects at CU-Boulder must be reviewed by the Institutional Review Board (IRB) prior to conducting the research.  The primary goal of the IRB is to facilitate ethically responsible human subjects research. Find out more by visiting: http://www.colorado.edu/vcr/irb/about-us.

I need to get approval from the IRB to use Qualtrics. Where can I get information on how Qualtrics secures data?

Email Qualtrics Support at support@qualtrics.com to receive information on how they secure their data.

Where can I find existing CU survey data?

Qualtrics survey developers can review the Office of Planning, Budget and Analysis (PBA) surveys at http://www.colorado.edu/pba/surveys/ to see the types of studies that have already been conducted to avoid duplicating similar research questions or studies.
