Tim Riggs joined OIT (then Information Technology Services) in the Academic Media Services area in 1999. His formal education in commercial photography is from Brooks Institute. Tim’s pursuits now include a variety of visual communication mediums. Drawing on decades of use and pro-training in imaging applications, Tim regularly saves student and faculty multimedia projects in a single bound. Hiding behind his personable and mild mannered alter ego as the Academic Media Services lab manager, Tim consults on the technical side of multi-media creation. Occasionally, Tim also serves a production role for video and photography, on OIT projects, such as Security campaigns and Comic Books and Graphic Novels MOOC.
When not at work, Tim is active in coaching youth hockey, target shooting with his sons, and restoring a 1962 Willys Wagon.
