OIT will upgrade router equipment on Friday, December 28 making network connections (both wired and wireless) unavailable for up to 30 minutes in buildings served by the Econ router (see Affected Buildings below). The upgrade will start at 5:30 a.m. and is expected to conclude by 7 a.m. The router upgrade will allow the expansion of wireless services and also enable the delivery of higher bandwidth.
During the upgrade, buildings served by the Econ router will be without wired and wireless network connectivity, including the ability to remotely VPN in to any departmental servers, for up to 30 minutes.
