Service Restored: RL1 Router (Wired & Wireless Networks)

Service Maintenance Completed at 7:09 a.m.:  OIT has completed this upgrade, and all networks are up and running normally.

Service Maintenance Overview:  The Office of Information Technology will upgrade the RL-1 distribution router on Tuesday morning, November 20 at 5:30 a.m. making wired and wireless network services unavailable for up to 45 minutes in a number of buildings on the east campus. This maintenance is necessary to prepare the router to support current and future network improvements.

Impact

During the upgrade, a number of buildings on the East Campus (see Affected Buildings below) will be without network connectivity, including the ability to remotely VPN in to any departmental servers in these buildings, for approximately 45 minutes.
