Between Thursday, August 15 and Monday, August 19, the Office of Information Technology (OIT) will be upgrading all Xerox printers in student labs with the newest Xerox model printers that match current capabilities. Only printers will be replaced at this time; multi-function devices (MFDs) will not be replaced.
Because the new printers have been tested and confirmed as compatible with existing printer driver software, the disruption to the labs should be minimal. It is expected that each printer will take approximately 15 minutes to replace and bring back online. In locations with multiple printers, printers will be taken offline one at a time to ensure at least one functioning printer is always available for use.
