On Friday, January 6, OIT will replace the battery backup system for the East Campus voice service. The new batteries will help maintain the voice service in the event of a utility power outage.
During the maintenance, those with phones on the East Campus (Marine Street buildings) may experience a brief outage during which phone service will be unavailable. This outage should last no longer than 15 minutes but those who are on the East Campus during this maintenance window may want to have a cell phone available for emergency calls.
