Description
OIT will raise the functional level of the campus Microsoft Active Directory to Server 2008R2 on Thursday, December 27, from 7:30 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. This change will have numerous benefits for the management of desktop computers and servers on our campus including: better management of password policies, advanced encryption services, more granular auditing and much more.
Impact
There will be no impact to the campus Active Directory or services that leverage it during this change. However following the change many new services will be enabled as described above.
