Security Vulnerability With Dell PCs

Yesterday, Dell announced that a certificate (eDellRoot) application installed on their PCs, has unintentionally introduced a security vulnerability. PCs with this vulnerability could leave users open to a cyberattack. Hackers would potentially be able use WiFi networks to impersonate a website and quietly intercept email, online purchases and online banking.

How Deleted Items Are Managed in Outlook

This week OIT will implement a change that will alter the length of how long items stay in your Outlook “Deleted Items” folder. When the campus transitioned from Exchange 2007 to the Exchange Online service, the existing “Deleted Items” purge policy did not transition over. Previously, anything filed in the “Deleted Items” folder would automatically be purged after 30 days.
