Clear the Web Browser Cache - Internet Explorer 9

Overview

Clearing a web browser’s cache can correct problems you may have using a web browser while on the CU-Boulder network or using an OIT web based program, like Desire2Learn or CULink . OIT recommends that you perform this simple step before you start to surf the Web for the first time on the campus network. The instructions below demonstrate how to clear the cache using Internet Explorer 9.

Step 1

Click on the Tools drop-down menu.

Select Delete Browsing History from the Safety side-menu.

In the window that opens, check the Temporary Internet Files and History checkbox and then click Delete.

*Note: If the Preserve Favorites website data box is checked, Internet Explorer will keep the cache for bookmarked websites intact. To clear all of the cahe be sure to have this box unchecked.
