Overview
OIT supports Sophos antivirus software for university owned computers.
IMPORTANT NOTE
If you are using Mac OS 10.8 (Mountain Lion) you need to temporarily adjust settings in order to install Sophos or you will recieve an error message. In order to bypass this error message:
- Open System Preferences
- Click Security and Privacy
- Click the lock to make changes and enter your username and password.
- Within the General section select Anywhere.
Once you have installed Sophos, be sure to readjust this setting to be Mac App Store and identified developers.
Download:
- Go to https://cuservices.colorado.edu/sitelicenses/download/SophosAntiVirus.mpkg.zip
- Log in with your CU Login Name and IdentiKey password.
- Your download will begin.

Download SophosAntiVirus.mpkg.zip and then double-click the file Sophos Anti-Virus.mpkg to run the installer.

Click Continue.
