Service Issue Closed at 7:48 p.m.: OIT is testing the software and firmware to address the iClicker software issue that causes a false error message to appear on base stations. Given this issue does not impact the use of iClicker, if faculty see an error message, they may ignore it. Once the software and firmware testing is complete, OIT will upgrade to the latest firmware to address the issue. Until that time, we recommend that faculty do not install version 6.2.0 of the iClicker software on their laptops, even if prompted by a web update message.
Service Issue Reported at 11:00 p.m.: OIT learned Friday that the latest version of the iClicker software (version 6.2.0, released August 2012) causes a false error message to appear on base stations. If faculty see an error message, they should please ignore it.
OIT staff have begun working to test the newest version of the iClicker software and will update the base stations as soon as the testing is complete. When that work is complete, the error message should no longer appear. Until that time, we recommend that faculty do not install version 6.2.0 of the iClicker software on their laptops, even if prompted by a web update message.
