Cisco VPN Troubleshooting on Macintosh - Check for Internet Connectivity

Overview

This is the first step in troubleshooting Cisco VPN connection problems on Macintosh. Follow the steps found in the Troubleshooting Guide in order. After each step, check to see if your problem has been corrected. If it has not, move onto the next step.

Step 1

Open the Finder, then go to Applications, and open up an Internet browser.

When your browser opens, go to the www.colorado.edu website to check for connectivity.


If you are not able to access the website, or any others, the network connection may be down.

  • Contact the IT Service Center if you are on campus.
  • Contact your ISP (Comcast, Qwest, etc.) if your are off-campus.
