Overview
Clearing a web browser’s cache can correct problems you may have using a web browser while on the CU-Boulder network or using an OIT web based program, like Desire2Learn or CULink . OIT recommends that you perform this simple step before you start to surf the Web for the first time on the campus network. The instructions below demonstrate how to clear the cache using Internet Explorer 8.

Step 1
Click on the Safety drop-down menu

Select Delete Browsing History.

In the window that opens, click on Temporary Internet Files and History.
*Note: If the Preserve Favorites website data box is checked, Internet Explorer will keep the cache for bookmarked websites intact. To clear all of the cahe be sure to have this box unchecked.

Click Delete.
