Cisco VPN - Connect on Mac 10.5 and Above

Last Updated: 05/04/2011
This tutorial applies to the following operating system(s):
MAC

Quick Start

Connecting from Off Campus:

This profile is not accessible from ANY on-campus location including ResNet and any secondary subnet types. You should use this profile only if the IP address you are coming from does NOT begin with 128.138.x.x, 198.11.16-31.x, 172.20.16-31.x, or 10.x.x.x (unless you are definately off campus with this address).

Connecting from On Campus:

This profile is available to all on campus users. It is primarily in place to secure data over the otherwise insecure wireless connection. If you wish that your internet traffic not be viewable to anyone nearby, use this connection.

Connecting from ResNet:

Accessible to all ResNet users including the residence halls, family housing, and ResNet administration. This connection is recommended for wireless users to secure all internet traffic that would otherwise be visible.
