OIT provides no-cost software support for laptop and desktop workstations to faculty, staff, and students at CU-Boulder. Visit one of our walk-in centers or if you’re a faculty and staff member you can make an appointment for an on-site support visit. Learn more below.
Students, faculty, and staff can bring in a university purchased or personal computer for help configuring hardware and/or software at one of OIT’s two walk-in centers. Both walk-in facilities support people on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Faculty and staff can receive on-site help. To schedule an on-campus in-office appointment with a Desktop Support Technician (Student Desktop Support Technician) call 303-735-4357 (5-HELP from a campus phone). The Desktop Support Team provides software support for laptop and desktop workstations, including new computer setup, troubleshooting, installing and configuring operating systems, and applications.
OIT can consult with departments about setting up a dedicated desktop support arrangement.
