D2L - Download All Dropbox Folder Submissions

Access to Desire2Learn (D2L) will end on August 1st, 2019 (for more information, see the D2L Migration and Retirement page). Files that students submitted to Dropbox folders will be lost beginning on this date. If you would like to save student submissions for Dropbox folders, the following documentation demonstrates how to download all submissions in a single Dropbox folder.

Step

Log into your course and from the Assignments drop-down menu click Dropbox.

Step

Click on the assignment from which you wish to download submissions.

Step

Check the Select all rows checkbox.

*Note: If you have a large class size you may need to adjust the users displayed per page. This is done by selecting a number of users from the per page drop-down menu, located in the bottom right-hand corner of the submissions list page. The maximum number of users that can be displayed on a page is 200. If a class is larger than 200 students, you will need to navigate to all pages and repeat this process to get all user submissions.

Step

Click the Download button.

Step

Click the file link (in the pop-up window) and define a save location.

Repeat this process for all Dropbox folders that you would like to save.
