Install/Connect with Apple Devices (Junos Pulse Client)
- This tutorial is operating system independent.
Overview
Junos Pulse is a free network client application that allows for mobile devices to connect to CU-Boulder's VPN. The documentation below demonstrates how to install and connect to the VPN via Junos Pulse on Apple Devices.
*Note: The images in this tutorial are taken from an iPad, but the instructions remain the same for both the iPhone and iPod Touch.

Install
Tap on the App Store icon.

Search for Junos Pulse and then tap Install.

Enter your Apple ID Password.

Wait for the application to install.

Connect
Tap the Junos Pulse icon.

Read through the End User License Agreement, then tap Accept.

Tap the Enable button.

Tap the greater than icon ( > ), as shown in the image to the left.

Tap Add new configuration.

- If a general user:
- Give your connection a title
- Enter https://cuvpn.colorado.edu in the URL field
- Tap Save.
- If using a Custom VPN:
- Give your connection a title
- Enter https://cuvpn.colorado.edu and then the appended custom name in this format: /thecustomname.
- Tap Save.
*IMPORTANT NOTE: Access to a custom VPN via the Junos Pulse mobile application is not automatic, only by request. Contact the IT Service Center to request mobile access to your custom VPN.

Tap Connect.

Enter your CU Login Name and Identikey password

You will now be connected.

Once connected, you can navigate away from the application.

Your connection will remain until you reopen Junos Pulse and tap Disconnect.
