D2L - Setting Up WebDav via Web Folders

Overview

The following documentation demonstrates the process of creating a web folder for users of Windows Vista 32-bit. All other Windows users should use Cyberduck for WebDav course connections.

*Note: To be able to create a web folder, a software update may be required, and can be downloaded from www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=15123.

Step 1

In the Start menu, click Computer.

Click Map Network Drive.

Click Connect to a Web site that you can use to store your documents and pictures.

Click Next.

Click Choose a custom network location then click Next.

Enter the URL for your course and then click Next.

*Note: Your course URL will consist of the domain https://learndav.colorado.edu and then the Course Offering Path, found in the Course Offering Information (accessed through Edit Course). The URL should look similar to https://learndav.colorado.edu/content/enforced/1000-course_name/. If you are still having trouble understanding the URL format, please visit the main WebDav page for further explanation.

Step 7

Type in your CU login name and Identikey password when prompted, than click OK.

Type in a name for this course folder and then click Next.

Click Finish and your web folder should be created. You will now be able to manage course files form the created folder.
