Update: Internet speed should appear normal, as the service has been restored.

Previous alert:

OIT Networking has received multiple reports of traffic slowness with off-campus entities.   We believe this is related to the 10gig upgrade that was activated on Tuesday 10/18/11, and primarily affects research traffic and portions of normal commodity internet traffic (i.e. www.cnn.com).  We are working with our service providers to determine the problem and apologize for any inconvenience.
