CU-Boulder's Exchange service is designed to help faculty and staff collaborate more efficiently and effectively through a suite of services including email, campus-wide scheduling via the calendaring function, contact and directory data, task management and more. Exchange provides ubiquitous access to these features through desktop programs, web browsers, and mobile devices such as SmartPhones.
It should be noted that the version of Exchange that is elaborated on in this overview page and subsequent pages is hosted on the technology - Exchange Server 2007.
Most users on campus that are affiliated with the university as faculty or staff are actively using Exchange Server 2007 Technology in conjunction with their computers, tablets, and mobile devices.
Exchange 2007 is provided as a common-good service to all faculty, staff and student employees - which means there is no direct cost to the individual or department.
The CU-Boulder Exchange service is available to all CU-Boulder faculty and staff, and by request to those student employees who need to conduct official university business through email. Retirees are also eligible for Exchange accounts.
