CUClickers - Download a myCUinfo Roster File

Overview

Faculty teaching courses that appear in myCUinfo's Faculty Course Toolkit can download a CUClickers specific roster. This downloaded file must be renamed Roster.txt and placed in the specific course's folder for each course you are teaching. This document demonstrates how to download the roster from myCUinfo and place it in your folder.

Step 1

Open a web browser and go to myCUinfo at https://mycuinfo.colorado.edu.

Enter your CU Login Name and IdentiKey password. Then click on the Log In button.

From the Faculty tab under My Courses click on the course link under the Course Number heading.

Click on the Download CUClicker Course Roster button.

    •    Windows, using Internet Explorer for demonstration (Steps 6 - 13)
    •    Macintosh, using Safari for demonstration (Steps 14 - 20)

Windows

When prompted to save or open the file you are about to download, click on the Save button.

When browsing for a location to save the file, find your CUClickers software folder that you will be using this roster file in. Double click to open the folder.

Select the Classes folder.

Click on the class that you want to connect the file with as seen to the left.

Double click on Roster.txt. The File name: text field should now only say Roster.txt. Click on the Save button.

Chances are you will receive a notification that says "Roster.txt already exists. Do you want to replace it?" Click on the Yes button.

Your CUConnect roster is can now be used with the i>clicker and i>grader programs.

To be able to see and use the roster that you have put into your courses folder you must synchronize your roster. This is done by opening i>grader and clicking the Sync... button, as shown to the left.

Macintosh
