Service Restored: RL-1 Distribution Router Upgrade

The Office of Information Technology (formerly Information Technology Services) will upgrade the RL-1 distribution router on Tuesday morning, July 12 making the network unavailable on parts of the East Campus for approximately 60 minutes.

Impact

During the upgrade, a number of buildings on the East Campus (see Affected Buildings below) will be without network connectivity, including the ability to remotely VPN in to any departmental servers in these buildings, for approximately 60 minutes.

Distribution Center, Administrative and Research Center, RL-1, RL-2, RL-4, RL-6, Ski Hut, CCAR, LASP, LSLR, IBG, MSSC, NSIDC, Greenhouse, CINC, CASA, Williams Village Heat Plant.
