If your web site has more than one person making updates to the web pages, it is important to set the proper write permissions. Setting the group write permission will allow all of the people who are in your web site group to make and publish updates.
Select the file you wish to add group write permissions to.
Click on the Operation drop-down menu, and select Properties.
In the window that opens, you will see a Permissions: area, where you can adjust the permissions for the file.
To add group write permission, check mark the box where Group and Write intersect. Once you have check marked the box, click OK.
You can perform this task for directories and multiple files at once using the same method. For multiple files, you will have to use your Control key to highlight all the files you wish to add group write permission, and then open the Properties box.
