Have a university-owned Mac? System Center 2012 Endpoint Protection for Mac has officially replaced Sophos for all campus Macs. System Center 2012 Endpoint Protection is now the recommended antivirus software for all university-owned computers, including PCs. This does not apply to personally-owned machines.
If you have Sophos or another antivirus provider installed on your university-owned Mac, please work to uninstall that software and install System Center 2012 Endpoint Protection for Mac. Visit the OIT website for step-by-step instructions on how to install.
If you are unsure if your machine has antivirus, check the icons on the right side of the menu bar. If you are a dedicated desktop support customer, you should already have System Center 2012 Endpoint Protection installed.
