D2L Outage Report

The Office of Information Technology (OIT), with guidance from a faculty-led review committee, undertook an extensive risk analysis and audit of Desire2Learn after catastrophic outages that occurred during the 2012-13 academic year. The goal was to determine whether CU-Boulder should continue to use D2L’s hosting services, host D2L ourselves, or migrate to another OLE. A description of these activities and the findings can be found in the Desire2Learn Outage Review, Evaluation and Strategic Path Forward section of this service.
