Description
On Tuesday, September 8 from 8:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m., Shared Infrastructure Services-managed Unix systems will be updated to python 2.7.10. This update is necessary for security fixes and will better support scientific computing modules.
During the update, python may be briefly unavailable. There is a slight chance there may be code incompatibilities. If this occurs, customers should work with the team (trouble@colorado.edu) to address the issue. Customers may need to update their code to work with python 2.7.10.
Impact
The update will start at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 8 and conclude by 9:30 a.m. While the update is occuring, python may be briefly unavailable. If you are uncertain whether a system you use will be affected by this update, please contact trouble@colorado.edu.
