Windows Mobile 6 uses ActiveSync to interact with OIT's Exchange service. With Exchange configured, you will be able to view the account's various mailboxes, and create custom mailboxes.
If you haven't already configured your Windows Mobile 6 device to use Exchange but have synced your device with your computer, follow the directions in this document.
This document uses Windows Mobile Professional (which uses a touch screen), but the instructions are the same for Windows Mobile Standard.
If you already know how to configure Windows Mobile 6, use the specifications below to configure for OIT's Exchange service.
Select Menu, then Add Server Source. (Note: This screenshot was taken with Windows Mobile Standard).
Enter exchangeweb.colorado.edu in the Server address: field. Make sure that This server requires an encrypted (SSL) connection remains checked. Then, select Next.
Enter your CU Login name and IdentiKey password. Enter ad for the Domain.
Choose the items that you want to synchronize on your Windows Mobile device, then select Finish.
The Windows Mobile device will verify your settings and synchronize.
Once it is done, and shows Connected, you can exit by tapping the X button at the upper right hand side of the screen in Windows Mobile Professional (or exiting like any normal application in Windows Mobile Standard).
Your Exchange account has been setup and is now ready to be used with your Windows Mobile device.
