Exchange - Export Local Apple Mobile Device Contacts to Exchange

Overview

Apple's mobile devices (iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad) use ActiveSync to interact with OIT's Exchange service. With Exchange configured, you will be able to view the account's various mailboxes, and create custom mailboxes.

Tap Contacts.

Tap Groups.

Tap your All on My Phone option in the On My Phone section.

Tap the contact you want to share and then tap Share Contact, as shown to the left:

Tap the Email button when the Share Contact Using: screen appears.

Type the email(s) that you would like the contact sent to and hit send.

Repeat steps for all other contacts that you wish to export.

Note: The following steps are to save contacts in your Exchange Account for Microsoft Outlook 2010 and 2011.

Select the Email sent by your iPhone in your Inbox.

Open the attachment with the ending .vcf.

Review and Update desired contact information and then click Save & Close.

Your contact will now be saved in your Exchange Account's contact list.
