Exchange - Share Your Calendar in Apple iCal 4.x, 5.x

Overview

You can allow your calendar to be seen by others with Exchange. They have to open your calendar on their computers, however to see this. Learn how at "Open a shared calendar," in the next section.

Open iCal. Click the iCal drop-down menu and select Preferences...

Select the Accounts tab.

Click the Delegation button.

Click Edit.

Click the + button.

Type in the name you want to find and search for it. Select the name of the person with which you would like to share your calendar.

From the Calendar drop-down menu you can select the permission level you wish to grant this person.  The most common permission level is Read Only, which allows others to see events on your calendar but prevents them from editing or removing events from your calendar.

Step 8

From the Tasks drop-down menu you can select the permission level you wish to grant this person.  The most common permission level is Read Only, which allows others to see tasks but prevents them from editing or removing tasks. Click Done.

Step 9

Now the person you have shared your calendar with has the proper permissions.
