Service Restored: UIS reports that the major vulnerability affecting Nelnet, the application used by students and parents for online bill pay, has been addressed by the vendor. Maintenance pages have been removed, and users can again make online and e-check payments normally.
Service Issue Reported: University Information Systems (UIS) has reported that Nelnet, the application used by students and parents for online bill pay, is subject to a recently-identified security vulnerability in the technology that encrypts most secure website transactions. As a result, UIS has disabled Nelnet until verification is provided by the vendor that the issue is addressed. Maintenance pages are currently in place where this application is integrated.
Students, parents, admitted students and academic departments are not able to make credit card and e-check payments, both online and in person, for the following payment types:
