Mozilla and Google have released updated versions of their respective browsers. These updates address vulnerabilities that may allow a remote attacker to obtain sensitive information, cause a denial-of-service condition, execute arbitrary code, operate with elevated privileges on an affected system, or lead to memory corruption.
The IT Security office advises owners of affected browsers to restart their browser or follow update instructions to facilitate updating.

IMPORTANT severity includes virus and local exploits for commonly used services.
