Apple, Mozilla and Google have released updated versions of their respective browsers. These updates address vulnerabilities that may allow a remote attacker to obtain sensitive information, execute arbitrary code, cause a denial-of-service condition, bypass intended security restrictions, conduct a spoofing attack, hijack a web session, or spoof the address bar.

Affected Software

The IT Security office advises owners of the affected browsers to restart their browser or follow update instructions to facilitate updating.

  • Versions of Safari prior to version 7.0.1 and 6.1.1
  • Versions of Firefox prior to version 26.0
  • Versions of Google Chrome prior to version 31.0.1650.63
