Service restored at 11:00 a.m.: Xcel power has been restored to affected buildings. As a result, network switches are functioning normally.
Service issue reported at 9:32 a.m.: An Xcel power outage affecting Bear Creek Apartments, Stearns Towers, Williams Village, and University Residence may also affect network in these buildings as these locations' network switches are currently operating on UPS battery power. Networking may be lost as UPS batteries run down. The vendor, Xcel, has been engaged and estimates a repair time of up to two hours.
Network service in affected buildings is on UPS battery power and may degrade as batteries run down.
