Chris Evans

Chris EvansChris has been with CU Boulder's Information Technology Services group for well over a decade. He served five years as the administrator of a cross-platform computer classroom facility, providing faculty and students with dedicated on-site support of workstations, servers, applications, audiovisual systems and more. Chris now manages the team responsible for oversight and coordination of IT/AV in campus construction projects and building renovations, owner advocacy and consulting in technology designs, classroom technology standards and upgrades, and core expert support of academic technologies.

Chris recently served as Editor for employee Duncan McBogg's eBook, "Successful Strategic Planning for Your Lecture Capture Initiative", which was made as a supplementary resource for a webinar Duncan presented about planning your organization's foray into lecture capture. The eBook is available here:

Chris and Duncan have also given presentations about lessons learned and good practices in lecture capture at two conferences: Sonic Foundry's annual UNLEASH conference in April 2010, and again here at the Colorado Learning and Teaching with Technology (COLTT) Conference in August 2010.

If you see Chris in apparent need of a break, cheering up or just a plain old distraction, try mentioning comic books, motorcycles, martial arts, Scotland, or - if you dare - mutton chops.
