This tutorial offers both "quick start" information as well as step-by-step instructions for how to configure Entourage 2008 to send and receive CULink e-mail messages. These instructions apply to all CULink e-mail users (faculty, staff, students, and sponsored affiliates).
Quick Start Configuration Settings
The New Account window will open.
Click on the Account type: drop-down menu and select IMAP.
The Edit Account window will open.
In the Account name: text field, enter CULink.
In the Personal information section, enter your first and last name and your e-mail address. Please use the email@example.com format.
Now enter information into the Receiving mail section.
Now enter information into the Sending mail section.
In the SMTP server: text field, enter smtp.colorado.edu
Next, click on the Click here for advanced receiving options button.
Check mark This IMAP service requires a secure connection (SSL), then click on the square button in the top left corner of this section in order to close the section.
Now click on the Click here for advanced sending options button.
In the section that opens, check mark the following:
Click on the square button in the top left corner of this section in order to close the section.
In the Root folder: text field enter INBOX in all capital letters.
Click the OK button.
You can now begin using Entourage 2008 to send and receive CULink e-mail messages.
