Service Issue Reported at 10:58 a.m. on Feb. 6: OIT has been seeing a spike in calls to the Service Center indicating that some outbound email from @colorado.edu addresses is being rejected, or "bounced," by external/non-university recipients. Internet Service Providers often temporarily block email for security purposes, such as suspected spam email; however, this does not appear to be the cause at this time. OIT believes the issue is related to spam filtering ports that have just implemented more aggressive criteria for blocking potential spam email. OIT is investigating the situation, and more information will be posted here as it becomes available.
