Microsoft software campus EES agreement

Overview
The EES -- Enrollment for Education Solutions -- provides licenses as a common good for all CU-Boulder faculty and staff and departmental computers, for Microsoft products including Windows, Office, and certain CALs. This program replaced the "MSCA" (Microsoft Campus Agreement) in 2012 but is similar in most respects.
Features

- Client Access Licenses (CALs) of the Enterprise CAL Suite.
Benefits
- The software and upgrades are available for to CU-Boulder faculty and staff (including student employees) for both workplace computers and for university work conducted on a personally owned computer.
- Software can be downloaded, burned to a disc and installed at your convenience.
- The EES allows you to keep up with the latest upgrades for popular software titles without direct expense to you or your department.
- The EES is negotiated annually on behalf of the campus with the expectation that this arrangement will reduce the total amount of money the campus spends on Microsoft software and licenses.
Cost
- The Microsoft EES agreement is provided as a common-good to the campus which means there is no direct cost to you or your department.
Who can get it
- Faculty, staff, and student staff computers purchased with CU-Boulder funds.
- Home computers used to work at home.
- Only those with an 'employee' affiliation can log in to the download site.
- Any Trial Version of Office must be uninstalled from a computer before installing CU's site-licensed version of Office.
How to get it
- Log in with your IdentiKey to download the software. You will need a fast internet connection.
- Burn the .ISO disc image file to a blank DVD, using the ISO Recorder Power Toy utility for Windows if necessary. In Windows 8 and Mac OS X, the image file for Microsoft Office can be mounted directly without needing to burn to a DVD.
- For installing on institutional computers, assistance is available from your Computer Support Representative (CSR) or from Desktop Support Technicians at your CU-Boulder office during a scheduled appointment. For installing on personal computers you can get assistance by taking the computer in to an OIT Walk-in Computer Support Center.
