Description:  Go beyond the spreadsheet! Come ramp up from core functionality to advanced D2L gradebook management. Instruction will cover managing advanced grade book entries including bonus, extra credit, and calculated items, as well as integrating with discussions, dropbox, and other D2L tools. D2L Grade Schemes will be defined and final grade releases will be explained in greater detail than D2L pt. 1.  Additionally, we will offer focused overviews of import/export features, including iClicker integration. This class is great for instructors with large courses, smaller courses with complex grading systems, and/or TA’s entrusted to manage complicated grading systems.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a 90 minute workshop, but the first 30 minutes is review of core gradebook use, as  covered in D2L part 1 and 2. Core gradebook will cover using the gradebook wizard, weighted vs. point systems, creating and editing grade items, and basic display functions. Participants are welcome to arrive for the 30 minute core review, or attend only the final 60 minutes.

Prerequisites: Getting Started with D2L Part 1  or equivalent experience with the gradebook wizard and/or creating gradebook items, or attend 30 minute gradebook review before the event.
