D2L Beginning of Semester Hands-on Workshop

Description: This longer, 90-minute hands-on session provides you with a basic understanding of CU Boulder's new online learning environment and the essential building blocks of using the Desire2Learn platform. Different from the 60 minute class, this workshop will expect participants to arrive with a Sandbox course and/or your intended course already requested into D2L, as well as a syllabus and course materials available for upload (on a personal laptop or flash drive). We will demonstrate and learn about commonly used tools - content uploading, creating and submitting to the assignment drop box, creating a news item, and setting up your grade book.   Registration is required for this workshop, and enrollment will be capped at 15.

Prerequisites: Advanced registration; access to a D2L course or sandbox; and on-hand access to course material and/or syllabus.  Computer: Bring your own laptop.  Otherwise, Macintosh laptops will be available for use during the workshop.
