As this semester comes to an end, OIT has a few D2L related end-of-semester housekeeping reminders and a sneak peak at the new login page which will be in place for the fall 2013 semester.
D2L Login Page Will Have New Look for Fall
Starting August 13, Desire2Learn (D2L) logins will be facilitated through a new login page called Federated Identity Service (formerly known as WebAccess). (Click here to see an example.) The credentials you use to login to D2L -- your CU Login Name and IdentiKey Password -- will not change and after logging-in, the functionality and look of D2L will also remain unchanged. You will still access Desire2Learn by going to https://learn.colorado.edu/.
Federated Identity Service is an IdentiKey login system placed in front of campus web services in order to provide a single sign-on session. You can learn more about Federated Identity Service at www.colorado.edu/oit/fed-id.
D2L End-of-Semester Reminders
Here are a few reminders to help bring this academic year to a smooth end.
If you would like a jump start on your summer and fall semester preparation, you can request that these courses be created in D2L. To request a course, instructors should log in to MyCUInfo and choose the Course Tools tab in Teaching Tools to “Request an Online Learning Environment.” Click here to learn more.
If you have any questions about these end-of-semester reminders, please contact your school or college’s Academic Technology Consultant (ATC). And if you ever have questions about D2L in general, you are welcome to contact your ATC or the IT Service Center at 303-735-4357 (5-HELP from a campus phone) or e-mail email@example.com.
