Collecting Content for CU-Boulder’s iTunes U

Last Updated: 10/27/2011

The University of Colorado Boulder has recently launched a campus presence on iTunes U, an educational component of iTunes offering multimedia content from hundreds of colleges and universities across the country. CU-Boulder’s iTunes U environment provides an opportunity for faculty and staff to contribute digital audio and video files that promote a wide range of CU-related activities. The project team is now looking for faculty and staff to submit content for the site.

CU-Boulder faculty and staff can easily contribute to iTunes U. Audio or video recordings for the site can include:

  • Course content (lectures, student coursework, animations)
  • Event content (seminars, lecture series, conferences, performances, student activities)
  • News content (news stories produced in conjunction with Media Relations and News Services in University Communications)
  • Service content (professional development, instructional, business-oriented)
  • Marketing content (communication, promotional, informational)

Instructions on how to contribute, guidelines for content development, copyright policies, technical requirements, and frequently asked questions are available at itunesu.colorado.edu. If you have questions regarding content submission, please contact Cory Pavicich, iTunes U Content Administrator at itunescu@colorado.edu. All content is reviewed by ITS and University Communications before it is posted by University Communications. Content becomes available worldwide to any iTunes user to view and download for free.

University Communications and Information Technology Services (ITS) have launched this site through a collaborative effort. Our partnership anticipates a fall promotional period to announce a vibrant, full iTunes U site to students, the campus community, and peer universities. Faculty and staff are urged to submit content prior to the start of the fall 2011 semester for optimal visibility.

If you have any general or technical questions, please contact the IT Service Center at 303-735-4357 (or 5-HELP from an on-campus phone) or help@colorado.edu. Phone help is available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
